Why did you choose Soberania over El Valle de Anton?
We have a 5 night trip and since you warn of delayed/cancelled flights from Contadora – we are thinking we shouldn’t go there (it would be the last 2 days of the trip) so we are looking at El Valle and a beach close to PC (Farallon, Santa Clara.)

Because it was closer and we were fascinated by the Canopy Tower. In addition, we had planned a night at a place called Sierra Llorona and had hoped to spend a half day on the Carribean Coast. As you will see, the best laid plans don’t always come to be. I was also very interested in El Valle, but we could not fit it in.
I also looked at Santa Clara and liked it, but David really wanted to go to an island so we chose Contadora. With your limited time, I see no reason why you could not easily do El Valle and Santa Clara.
